ঝরঝর বরিষে বারিধারা।
Rain showers like the drum-beat..
What shall become of the wayfarer.. the sluggish.. the homeless..
the wind.. laments, calls out.. in this deserted.. boundless.. land--
as the night darkens..
The restless.. Yamuna** gurgles nervous.. unseen its riverbanks.. shrouded in the dark.
Dense clouds.. clap deeply
the edgy girl caught by surprise--
there are no moon.. or stars.. to be seen..
Yamuna** -- the second-largest tributary river in India. Called Brahmaputra** and in the lower course Jamuna** in Bangladesh.
