A tide blows from the sea of joy

আনন্দেরই সাগর হতে এসেছে আজ বান
Anonderi shagor hote eshechhe aj baan (audio)

A tide blows from the sea of joy,
time to brace and take the oar.

Row the boat with all our might
row, row and leave the shore.

Our craft is heaped with heavy load
boat of tears, a brutal sea.
Even as we face our death
row, row and leave the shore.

Who is it that pleads we stop

who holds us up with fatal fear?
Seen enough of tragedies
we tasted every shade of tear.

Why would we wish to stop

at harbors such are safe and tart?
We take off on a forceful sea
with a ready song of our sailing heart.
